The earnings page at investing.com states it without a hedge and without a source: "Berkshire Hathaway B will release its next earnings report on Aug 03, 2026" [1]. August 3 is Monday. Berkshire has announced no such thing.
The company's own news page, checked twice during this reporting cycle and most recently Sunday morning, lists seven releases for 2026, and the newest is July 24, the completion of the $8.5 billion Taylor Morrison acquisition [2]. There is no second-quarter earnings release on it, no 10-Q, and no scheduling notice [2][3].
The scheduling notice is the tell. Ahead of its last report, Berkshire posted "Information Regarding First Quarter Earnings Release and 2026 Annual Shareholders Meeting" on April 29, three days before the May 2 results [2]. No equivalent notice exists for the second quarter as of this weekend's checks. The calendar adds its own doubt: both earnings dates Berkshire has actually used this year, February 28 for the 2025 fourth quarter and May 2 for the first quarter, were Saturdays [2]. The aggregator's confident date is a Monday.
Consensus calendars are a legitimate service, and this one is doing a normal job imprecisely rather than a dishonest one. Estimating a company's next report date from its history is useful, aggregators do it at scale, and nothing on the page fabricates a confirmation. The failure is one verb. "Will release" presents a database estimate as a company commitment, and nothing on the page tells a reader which of the two they are holding.
We rate the claim Misleading rather than False. Berkshire may well report on Monday; if it does, the entry will have been a good estimate. What it never was, at any point this weekend, was a fact the company had put on the record, and it is phrased as one.
Earnings dates move money. Weekend positioning, options premiums and Monday-morning orders all price off when numbers are expected, and a retail holder of the B shares who takes the calendar entry as company-confirmed is trading on an aggregator's guess wearing a fact's clothing.
The actual second-quarter report is the story we are watching for. Until Berkshire posts an advance notice or the results themselves, no date is confirmed, whatever the calendars say.
